2009 Fifteenth ISCLR SYMPOSIUM
The Fifteenth ISCLR Symposium will be held at the Creta Maris Hotel and Conference Centre, Hersonissos, Crete, Greece from 16-21 August 2009.
Scientific Program
The conference is scheduled to commence on Sunday 16th August 2009 and concludes on Friday 21st August 2009 at noon. On Sunday 16th August 2009, please arrange to arrive in time to attend the following events, depending on your role in the ISCLR:Executive meeting: 12 noon
Student meeting: 2.00pm
Council meeting: 4.00pm

Dress Code for the Meeting
The dress code for the meeting is casual and this also includes the Welcome Reception on the Sunday evening. The gala dinner is to be held on the evening of Thursday 20th August 2009 and the dress code is 'smart/elegant'.Partners
Partners are welcome to attend the Welcome Reception. To facilitate this please contact Phil Morgan to let him know if you are bringing a partner and (just for completeness) their name. You do not need to do this if you have informed Phil of an attending partner already.Abstracts
There is one abstract submission formfor members and one for students. The student form
also contains further details about grant applications. All presentations will be five minutes in duration, and successful students will be expected to present a poster and to deliver a verbal presentation of their work.
The deadline for submissions is Friday 3rd April, 2009. All abstract submissions are to be emailed directly Phil Morgan at the ISCLR Secretariat: philip.morgan@manchester.ac.uk

As in previous years, the society intends to offer stipends to attending full members. The levels of stipend are still being considered as sponsorship is confirmed and as currency values alter. For reference, for the last meeting the levels of re-imbursement were 35%-55% of estimated costs, based on your position in the society (members, councillors and executive).Sponsors

The conference hotel is in the village of Hersonissos which is about 20 minutes (25km) east from the main airport on Crete at Heraklion (HER). The airport is served by direct 'holiday-type' flights from many European cities. Those travelling from further afield will probably transit to Heraklion via Athens. The airport is served by a busy taxi service. It should be possible to pick up a taxi without pre-booking although you can also pre-book here: www.cretan-taxi.gr or through the hotel web site.
